Seated, Left to Right: Jill Parsons, CEO, Chamber of Commerce of the Mid-Ohio Valley; Sandy Swisher, Chief Operating/Medical Officer, IHCWV; Ryan McIntyre, Principal, Franklin Elementary School; Heather Grant, Director of Elementary Education, Wood County Schools. Standing: Wendy Cutright, Chief Quality Officer, IHCWV.

We’re excited to share some fantastic news from our Partner in Education program! Integrated Health Centers of West Virginia (IHCWV) has officially joined forces with Franklin Elementary Center to help students and families thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

IHCWV, a Federally Qualified Health Center with deep roots in the Mid-Ohio Valley, will bring its school-based health services directly to Franklin students. This collaboration is all about supporting the whole child—addressing basic needs, ensuring safety, and promoting social and emotional well-being so every student can reach their full academic potential. This marks IHCWV’s fourth formal partnership with local schools, where they provide vital resources—and there are more partnerships to come.

“By overcoming the barriers of basic needs, safety, and social-emotional well-being, children can then become equipped to reach their fullest potential in academic achievement, which is our vision at Franklin Elementary.”
Ryan McIntyre, Principal, Franklin Elementary Center

The message from IHCWV is clear: health and learning go hand-in-hand.

“We’re not just providing healthcare; we’re investing in the future of our students.”
Wendy Cutright, Chief Quality Officer, IHCWV

The Chamber couldn’t agree more.

“Partnerships like this demonstrate the heart of our community—where health and education come together to build a stronger future.”
Jill Parsons, President & CEO, Chamber of Commerce of the Mid-Ohio Valley

This is what the Partner in Education program is all about: building bridges between schools and community partners to lift up the next generation.
